PHMC Offers Hurricane Sandy Recovery Grants for Historic Properties

The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission has received $1.5 million from the National Park Service to provide technical assistance and emergency repairs to historic and archeological resources impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Work that has already been completed and that meets the program requirements may be eligible for reimbursement.

The grants will go to public and private property owners for eligible repairs to historic properties damaged by Hurricane Sandy. Grant funds are available to applicants in the following counties that received Major Disaster Declarations related to Hurricane Sandy:

  • Bedford
  • Bucks
  • Cameron
  • Dauphin
  • Forest
  • Franklin
  • Fulton
  • Huntingdon
  • Juniata
  • Monroe
  • Montgomery
  • Northampton
  • Philadelphia
  • Pike
  • Potter
  • Somerset
  • Sullivan
  • Wyoming
