Newly Elected Supervisors Need to Take the Oath of Office

Before assuming the duties of office, newly elected and re-elected township supervisors must take an oath of office to support the Constitution of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and to perform the duties of office with fidelity. This oath must be administered by a judge, district magistrate, or notary and filed with the township secretary.
