SRBC Offers Consumptive Use Grants
The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) is offering grants for projects focused on improving water availability and quality during droughts. The deadline is January 28. The program is intended to attract projects that will improve the watershed’s resiliency, or ability to better withstand drought situations, such as water storage and release projects, demand modification (water conservation, reuse, and recycling), and environmental and water quality improvement projects (groundwater recharge, restoring wetlands/streams/floodplains, improving stormwater management, and treating abandoned mine drainage).
