State Offers Free Credit Monitoring for UC Data Breach 

In response to data breach concerns, the state Department of Labor and Industry has announced that Pennsylvania unemployment compensation claimants will soon receive a letter with guidance authorizing them to register for free credit-monitoring to ensure the safety of their personal data. The monitoring service will be provided by Theft Guard Solutions Inc. and offer eligible claimants up to 12 months of credit monitoring, a $1 million insurance reimbursement policy, and fully managed identity recovery services.
