Commonwealth Urges Pennsylvanians to Participate in Pick Up Pennsylvania
The commonwealth is urging Pennsylvanians to participate in Pick Up Pennsylvania this spring. During this initiative from Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, thousands of Pennsylvanians will participate in litter and illegal dump cleanups, tree and flower plantings, recycling collections, public education programs, and more.
The state Departments of Environmental Protection and Transportation provide free trash bags, gloves, and safety vests to registered participants as supplies last. In addition, DEP and Pennsylvania Waste Industries Association are sponsoring trash disposal, at a free or reduced cost, for registered participants at participating landfills during April.
Townships can participate by holding a cleanup event and registering here. Contact Michelle Dunn, KPB’s program coordinator, with questions at 877-772-3673, ext. 113, or mdunn@keeppabeautiful.org.
