Department of Agriculture Shares Tips for Trapping Lanternflies 
If you find a black bug with bright green spots just jumped on you, you’ve probably met a lanternfly nymph. Look around on trees or the side of your house and you will probably find more. The state Department of Agriculture recommends trapping and squashing the bugs to reduce their population and to keep them from damaging vegetation. Circle traps are recommended.
