Traffic Signal Modernization Grant Program Opens Tomorrow
The new 2022-2023 state budget includes an additional $5 million for grants to municipalities to install and maintain traffic signal technologies at traffic control signals that will be connected to a central location at the state Department of Transportation using the Commonwealth Communications Network. The Traffic Signal Technologies Grant Program is a reimbursement program authorized by Act 54 of 2022 and administered by PennDOT. No match is required.
The program will be administered similarly to Green Light-Go. Applications will be accepted beginning tomorrow until September 30.
