First Federal Broadband Funds Arrive in Pennsylvania; Authority Begins Hearings  

Pennsylvania has received the first $6.6 million of an expected total of more than $100 million in federal broadband funds, which will be managed by the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority. These funds come from two programs that will help expand access to high-speed internet in Pennsylvania. Click here to read the press release. 

Today, the Authority is beginning a series of listening sessions across the commonwealth to give Pennsylvanians the opportunity to learn more about the Authority, as well as gather feedback on the accuracy of the Federal Communications Commission’s broadband access map, which will be used to distribute federal funds to the states.
