Shapiro Announces 1-95 to Reopen in Two Weeks
Gov. Josh Shapiro announced Friday that I-95 in Philadelphia is expected to reopen within the next two weeks. Shapiro conducted an aerial tour of the site with key members of his cabinet and briefed President Joe Biden on the response, the reconstruction plan, and the continued coordination between all levels of government. Shapiro credited the work of his cabinet and the union workers rebuilding the roadway with foamed glass aggregates for the extraordinary progress made on reopening this critical corridor.
