Shapiro Signs Property Tax/Rent Rebate Expansion   

Gov. Josh Shapiro has signed HB 1100 into law as Act 7 of 2023. Act 7 expands the Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PTRR) program to 175,000 more Pennsylvania seniors and doubles rebates for many Pennsylvanians who already qualify. This is the first time the program has been expanded since 2006.  

Act 7 raises the maximum rebate for seniors from $650 to $1,000, increases the income cap for renters and homeowners to $45,000 per year, and ties future increases to increases in the Consumer Price Index. Click here for the press release.
