New DEP Secretary Coming 

In the second Shapiro Cabinet resignation this month, Executive Deputy Secretary Jessica Shirley will serve as acting secretary of the 2,400 employee Department of Environmental Protection following the departure/resignation of Rich Negrin. Negrin was the first Latino to head the agency and an advocate for partnering with local government as the former Managing Director of Philadelphia.
