IFO Estimates Steep Drop for 2023 Natural Gas Impact Fees  

The Independent Fiscal Office estimates that the 2023 natural gas impact fees will total $174 million, 37.6% lower than 2022. The primary reason is a much lower average annual price of natural gas compared to 2022. In addition, wells are aging, which means that they pay lower fees.
