DCNR Announces ATV Awards; Applications Accepted Soon

The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced grant recipients for its ATV facilities grant round. These awards are for the construction and acquisition of ATV trails in townships, including an ATV trailhead and comfort facility in Fox Township, Elk County; 2.5 miles of trails on 61 acres in Saltlick Township, Fayette County; and 11 miles of trails in Clifford and Herrick townships, Susquehanna County, and Mt. Pleasant and Preston townships, Wayne County. Click here to learn more about these projects.  

DCNR also announced that it will accept applications for the next round of ATV facility grants beginning February 1. Townships are eligible to apply, and no match is required. Eligible projects include planning, land acquisition, development, rehabilitation, and maintenance of snowmobile and ATV trails and facilities. Click here to learn more about this opportunity.
