READY Local Governments Training and Funding Program

The Appalachian Regional Commission has opened READY Local Governments, a no-cost, nine-week training program taking place in spring 2024. This program will provide expert guidance and funding opportunities to help local governments in the Appalachian Region better apply for, manage, and implement federal funding.  

Townships in the Appalachian Region are eligible to participate, and the deadline to apply is February 29, 2024. Following completion of the training program, participants will be eligible for up to $50,000 in funding (no match required!) to implement internal capacity-building projects to help better serve communities. Interested townships are encouraged to register for an informational webinar about READY Local Governments, taking place February 8 from 1-2:30 p.m.
