PennDOT Awards $13 Million in ARLE Grants
The state Department of Transportation has announced that it will distribute approximately $13 million in Automated Red Light Enforcement (ARLE) funding to 35 municipalities statewide to fund 39 safety projects. Grant funding is supplied by fines from red light violations at 34 intersections in Philadelphia. Projects must improve safety, enhance mobility, and reduce congestion to be considered. Twenty of the grant awards go to townships across the state, including $539,606.93 for a new traffic signal installation in East Norriton Township, Montgomery County. Click here to learn more.
