CCD Funding Available for Municipal Police Reporting Systems
Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) announced $10 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funding to support system upgrades, which will enable the reporting of crime statistics to the FBI’s National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS).
Municipal police departments can apply through June 13, 2024, for the following eligible program activities and expenses: software, hardware, and labor needed to install NIBRS-compliant record management systems; agency training on how to collect and submit NIBRS data; and/or technical assistance for personnel responsible for data collection and submission. PCCD expects to fund approximately 50 grants with budgets up to $200,000 over the two-year project period.
Applications must be submitted through PCCD’s E-grants system. For more information, visit PCCD’s funding announcements page. Questions can be directed to ra-pccd-ocjsi@pa.gov with “NIBRS Upgrade” in the subject line.
