Townships Receive Grants to Reduce Underage, Dangerous Drinking
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board announced the award of more than $3.3 million in Alcohol Education Grant awards to schools, community organizations, municipalities, law enforcement organizations, and more. 86 organizations from 41 counties received grant awards, including 13 townships. Some of the awards will be used for law enforcement efforts to target underage patrols, training, community outreach and equipment, including those received by Locust and Scott Townships in Columbia County and North Strabane Township in Washington County. Lower Windsor Township, York County will use their police department’s award for Susquehanna River enforcement patrols and educational events and supplies. For the press release, click here.
