Would You Like to Reduce Energy Costs for Township Facilities?

The Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority has $1.8 million available for a new grant and financing opportunity, the Municipal Opportunities for Retrofits and Energy Efficiency (MORE) Program, that is designed to help local governments become more energy efficient and reduce energy costs.  

MORE grants and low-interest loans are available on a first-come, first-served basis to townships with populations below 35,000 to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Grants of up to $50,000 can be used to pay for Level 2 Commercial Energy Audits of buildings and/or facilities and to perform Energy Conservation Measure project design. MORE grants can also be used to reduce the interest rate for MORE loans for facility retrofits down to 0%.
