PSATS Requesting Submissions for Code Enforcement Academy

PSATS is requesting submissions for the development and presentation of a one- or two-day “PSATS Code Enforcement Academy” aimed at municipal code enforcement officers and staff around the Commonwealth. The PSATS Code Enforcement Academy is intended to assist municipalities maintain the safety and attractiveness of their communities in a cost-effective manner. Topics to be covered in the PSATS Code Enforcement Academy should include best management practices for development and enforcement of property maintenance, nuisance, and other public safety-related municipal ordinances, permitting and licensing, and working with residents and staff, as well as anything else that the submitting party deems appropriate for potential inclusion. Note that the PSATS Code Enforcement Academy is not intended to satisfy Pennsylvania Construction Code Academy requirements but is instead intended to complement that training. 

Interested parties are invited to make written submissions that include the following: (1) a detailed outline of a proposed PSATS Code Enforcement Academy curriculum; (2) a cost breakdown for: (a) development time; (b) presentation time; and (c) any other associated costs; (3) the number of times a year and locations you are willing to present; (4) resumes for proposed instructors; and (5) any other information deemed pertinent to the submission. Submissions will remain confidential but will become property of PSATS.
