Dave Sanko Talks State Police Funding
As the state’s primary law enforcement agency, funded primarily through taxes, the Pennsylvania State Police is dedicated to keeping residents and communities safe – all Pennsylvanians and their communities. The State Police offers essential municipal patrol coverage to municipalities across the commonwealth; it’s a service already paid for by hard-earned taxes. and available regardless of location, population, or demographics.
While some townships can afford to supplement this basic coverage with their own police force, many cannot. That doesn’t mean they should pay extra for the same State Police services that every community receives.
