Commission Declares Regulations Obsolete, Urges Agencies to Update

At the request of several state legislative committees, the Independent Regulatory Review Commission examined existing regulations for five state agencies. The commission determined that numerous state regulations under the oversight of these agencies were outdated due to legislative or other changes, such as provisions for certain campaign filings to be made on computer diskettes. A 175-page report was approved yesterday detailing recommended changes to the agencies and determining that due to the inaccuracies and outdated provisions, identified regulations were no longer in the public interest. We are exploring and seeking input on outdated regulations that affect townships. Please send them to klizza@psats.org. Click here to browse some of the outdated regulations.
