Inflation Inches Upward 

The Consumer Price Index inched up in November by .3% after rising .2% for each of the previous four months, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Over the last 12 months, the-all items index increased 2.7% before seasonal adjustment, after rising 2.6% for the 12 months ending in October.  

The index for shelter rose by .3% in November, accounting for nearly forty percent of the monthly all items increase. The food index also increased .4% for the month and 2.4% over the last year, while the energy index rose .2% for the month and 3.2% for the year. Click here for the press release.
