We are a little over one year away from celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States in 2026. Pennsylvania played a leading role in the creation of our nation, and townships are among the oldest forms of government dating back to that time!  

Townships can become official partners of America250PA by approving a sample commemorative resolution at an upcoming meeting (should you choose). Townships are also encouraged to plan events, observances, and other activities to highlight their community’s importance in the commonwealth over the last 250 years.
