Broadband Authority Releases Map of Grant Applications

Application Period One for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program closed on February 7, 2025. 26 unique applicants submitted 239 applications, with 97% of eligible locations receiving at least one bid and 85% of eligible locations receiving two or more bids.

The proposed BEAD project areas and associated proposed Broadband Serviceable Locations (BSLs) and Community Anchor Institutions (CAIs) are posted and available for review on the PBDA’s website. The information included on the map for the proposed project areas and associated BSLs and CAIs was provided by applicants for consideration by the PBDA and does not reflect grant awards for the competitive BEAD grant process.

To see if unserved or underserved areas of your township received bids, click here, agree to the terms and conditions, and click on your township to see applications. There may be multiple applications for the area you clicked and if so, there will be arrows in the bottom left-hand corner of the pop-up box which will let you click through the very basic information provided about the applications. Additional information will be released once the PBDA determines the winning applications for the first funding round for this year.
