Pennsylvania Announces Record Turnout for Nov. 3 Election
The Pennsylvania Department of State reported that turnout in the November 3 election appears to have set a record, exceeding turnout in every presidential election since at least 1960, with more than 6.9 million Pennsylvanians voting by mail ballot or in person at the polls. The election also appears to have set a record for the highest percentage of participation by Pennsylvania’s voting-age population at 70.93%. The previous record of 70.3% was set in 1960.
