Independent Fiscal Office, Revenue Release Strong December Revenue Numbers
The Independent Fiscal Office and state Department of Revenue have released December revenue reports. For the month of December, state General Fund collections totaled $3.7 billion and were $465.8 million higher than anticipated. The increase was largely due to the corporate net income tax. Personal income tax collections for December were above estimate by $36 million.
The Motor License Fund received $172.9 million in December, which includes liquid fuels taxes and other license, fine, and fee revenues. Motor License collections for the fiscal year-to-date total $1.4 billion, just .4 percent below estimate.
