Risk Management Training for Sports Venues and Event Facilities
The Pennsylvania Park Maintenance Institute is planning to host virtual training for managers and others that host the public in sports venues and event facilities. The Sport Event Risk Management course will build sport and special event risk management capabilities for community-wide collaboration and mitigation. A course overview and more specific details can be found here.
The institute plans to offer this FEMA-funded training opportunity at no cost to participants but does require a commitment to 15 hours of online instruction (Tuesday–Thursday; 5hrs./day). The institute needs to secure a minimum class size of 15 participants (maximum 25) to host a course.
If you are interested in participating in this course Tuesday, May 25, through Thursday, May 27 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day), please contact BK Koehler, director of the Pennsylvania Park Maintenance Institute, at bk@prps.org and use the subject line “Interest in Sport Event Risk Management Training.”
