Treasury Updates ARP FAQs, Posts Compliance and Reporting Information
Yesterday, the U.S. Treasury Department updated its Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document on the American Rescue Plan funds. Newly added questions are clearly marked and include clarifications about eligible broadband projects.
In addition, Treasury posted a new FAQ document on the Distribution of Funds to Non-entitlement Units (NEUs, municipalities with less than 50,000 population). While some of these FAQs were in the original FAQ document, this new document is specific to distributions to NEUs and details what states can and cannot do.
Finally, Treasury created a new subpage on Recipient Compliance and Reporting Responsibilities and posted the first version of its Compliance and Reporting Guidance. PSATS will review and provide more details in the coming days. Townships with populations of less than 50,000 are required to file their first report by October 31.
