Harrisburg State Budget News

Before this publication appears on Monday, we will learn that the legislature has proposed a budget of under $40 Billion dollars for the Commonwealth for next year.  Given the current budget surplus combined with the influx of federal stimulus funding, it should come as no surprise that the new budget will represent a significant increase from the current $33.1 billion budget (that had money left over!).  We will also learn of the departure of Governor Wolf’s Chief of Staff Mike Brunelle as well as Budget Secretary Jen Swails.
