SAM.gov Fraud Warning

PSATS has heard that several township officials have received emails urging them to renew their SAM.gov account or pay to complete a SAM.gov application. Please note that these emails are deceptive and should be deleted immediately. Many are trying to convince you to pay for their “help” with your application or renewal. We have even heard of some companies reaching out by phone. 

SAM.gov accounts need to be renewed once a year for free at SAM.gov. If you recently registered for a SAM.gov account, your account does not need to be renewed until a year from when you registered. The expiration date should be noted in your confirmation email from SAM.gov. And again, there is NO COST for SAM registration or renewal.
