PA Unemployment Rate at 6.6% in July      

The state Department of Labor and Industry has announced that Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate for June was 6.6%, while the national unemployment rate is 5.4%. Pennsylvania’s civilian labor force – the estimated number of residents working or looking for work – decreased by   16,000 in July.  Over the year, total nonfarm jobs were up 222,200 with leisure and hospitality showing the largest gain.
