DCNR Offering Free Virtual Workshops for Grant Program
In November, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will offer free grant workshops for those seeking to fund recreation and conservation projects. Those interested in applying are strongly encouraged to attend one of the three scheduled virtual workshops.
“I am hopeful potential applicants take advantage of these free opportunities to learn more about DCNR’s grant process,” Dunn said. “These workshops provide valuable insight into the grant process that can help a borough, township, nonprofit, or watershed group turn their plans into action.”
The workshops run from 9:00 AM to noon and are organized by county to allow for region and project specific responses from DCNR grant managers. Townships in eastern Pennsylvania counties should attend on Thursday, November 4. Those in central Pennsylvania counties should attend on Wednesday, November 10. Those in the western Pennsylvania counties should attend on Tuesday, November 16.
While the workshops are free, registration is required. To register for the workshops, visit the DCNR events webpage. Select the date of the workshop you want to attend from the calendar on the right, then find the workshop in the list of events for that day. Click “Register” to begin the registration process.
