FDA Approves More COVID-19 Booster Shots 

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the use of booster shots for the Moderna and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccines. The FDA amended the emergency use authorization for the Moderna vaccine to allow for a single booster dose at least six months after completion of the primary series for people 65 years of age and older; those who are 18 through 64 and at high risk of severe COVID-19; and those who are 18 through 64 and whose jobs and whose jobs put them at higher risk of exposure (healthcare, colleges, schools, grocery stores, etc). 

In addition, the FDA approved a single booster of Janssen vaccine at least 2 months after the first dose to anyone 18 or older and allowed for certain boosters to be provided with a different vaccine than the individuals original vaccine. Click here for more.
