As Covid Fades, Opioid Epidemic Quietly Spirals Out of Control
In addition to access to treatment, services, and support for people with substance use disorder, naloxone is a critical tool to address the opioid epidemic. Drug overdose deaths are seeing an increase and the vast majority of these deaths are opioid- and fentanyl-related.
The commonwealth is anticipating a significant supply of naloxone in the coming months. The Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs encourages everyone to learn about the ways individuals, organizations, and agencies can access naloxone.
