Broadband Authority to Hold Webinar on Prevailing Wage Law and Broadband Grants 

The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority and Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry will host a joint webinar on Tuesday, June 20, at 2 p.m. to provide information about and answer questions on the Prevailing Wage Law for applicants interested in submitting proposals for the ARPA Capital Projects Fund (CPF) Broadband Infrastructure Program. 

The Department of Labor and Industry determines prevailing wage rates for the construction industry and enforces the rates and classifications under the heavy highway and building construction projects of $25,000 or more when public funds are involved. The department also determines the prevailing minimum wage rates and employee benefits for specific localities and classifications. The presentation will be an overview of the Prevailing Wage Law, regulations, and processes, and will feature Q&A.
