Census Accepting Appeals
The U.S. Census Bureau is now accepting Post-Census Group Quarters Review cases. This program allows municipalities to submit new data for group quarters populations that were not counted during the 2020 Census operation. Click here to learn more about the Group Quarters program.
The Census Bureau is also accepting requests by local officials to review their official 2020 Census housing counts for processing errors in its 2020 Census Count Question Resolution Operation. Through the formal review process, the bureau ensures that housing and population counts are correctly allocated to 2020 Census tabulation blocks. Challenges for both programs may be submitted until June 30, 2023. Click here to learn more about the different options for challenging the 2020 Census results for your township.
The Pennsylvania State Data Center has the data that a township will need to appeal their results. The Center’s CQR website walks users through important guidance about the program and includes interactive data tables for users to find data for their community.
