DCED Announces CFA Grant Awardees for $27 Million
The state Department of Community and Economic Development has announced approval of 178 new projects through the Commonwealth Financing Authority, for more than $27 million in grants and loans. These programs include:
- Flood Mitigation Program: 11 projects approved. Monaghan Township was awarded $265,000 for the Fisher Run Culver Replacement Project
- The Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program: 136 projects approved. North Middleton Township, Cumberland County, was able to add bathrooms to one of its fields.
- Sewage Facilities Program: Four projects approved. Morris Township, Washington County, received $38,017 to help with Act 537 Planning.
- Orphan or Abandoned Well Plugging: One project was approved in Allegheny County.
- Watershed Restoration Protection Program: 15 projects approved, Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, was approved for $149,464 for the Coplay Creek Stream Bank Restoration Project.
