DCED Awards Planning Grants to Avoid Fiscal Distress

The state Department of Community and Economic Development awarded $1.377 million in grants to targeted local governments through the Strategic Management Planning Program to help these communities avoid financial distress and stabilize the tax base. Three townships, 3 counties, 4 cities and 8 boroughs received grants under the program, including for the development of a Strategic Management Planning Program, for IT upgrades and an employee manual, and for a five-year financial and operational plan. Click here to learn more.
