DEP Launches Electrical Vehicle Education Program for Local Officials 

The state Department of Environmental Protection’s Energy Programs Office has launched a Municipal Electric Vehicle (EV) Education program that will provide free education sessions open to any municipality interested in learning about electric vehicles. Programs will be held in August and September on EV development, from small rural townships to large urban cities. The sessions will cover different types and availability of EVs, different types and development considerations for EV charging infrastructure, and incentives for EV deployment. 

In-person sessions will be held on the following dates and times (click here to register): 

  • August 23 |10 a.m.-noon | Community College of Allegheny County West Hills Center – Oakdale, PA 
  • August 30 |10 a.m.-noon | DEP South Central Regional Office – Harrisburg, PA 
  • September 13 |10 a.m.-noon |Southeast PA – Location TBD
