Electric Vehicle Grants Available 

The U.S. Department of Energy is accepting applications for the Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) Program Wide Funding Opportunity. Up to $99.5 million is available for various research, development, demonstration, and deployment projects related to electric vehicles and charging. Townships are eligible to apply and cost share requirements range from 0% to 50% among 14 topic areas. Concept papers are due by Friday, June 26, 2023 (required to apply for funding), and full applications are due by Friday, August 11, 2023.   

Program funds can be used toward projects including innovative public transit solutions and training to increase deployment of these technologies among diverse communities.
