Grant Reminder: Wildlife Crossings and Habitat Connectivity Projects 

The Federal Highway Administration has announced the solicitation for FY 2024-2026 Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program to improve safety, protect motorists and wildlife by reducing wildlife vehicle collisions, and improve habitat connectivity for terrestrial and aquatic species.  

Grants are available for all activities related to wildlife crossing structures and habitats, including research, planning, design, and construction projects. Townships are eligible to apply through September 4, 2024. FHWA will award 60% or more of funds for projects in rural areas.
