Happy Flag Day!  

On this date in 1777, Congress officially adopted the 13 stars and stripes as the US Flag in recognition of the 13 original colonies that became states. In 1877, on the 100th birthday of the US Flag, the first Flag Day observance was held. Flag Day was not officially designated a holiday until 1949 by Congress. Please follow proper flag etiquette displaying “Old Glory”!
