Masks Off for Fully Vaccinated
Fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state, or local rules, including local business and workplace guidance, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced yesterday. In addition, fully vaccinated people may refrain from testing following a known COVID-19 exposure unless they have symptoms. Click here for more. State Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam stated that Pennsylvania’s Universal Face Coverings order automatically incorporates the masking changes made by the CDC.
“Today’s guidance from the CDC affects only people who are fully vaccinated,” Beam said. “This is another incentive to get the vaccine that is now easily and conveniently available. Once 70 percent of Pennsylvanians over 18 are fully vaccinated, we can completely lift the masking order.”
