The Pennsylvania Office of Open Records announced that beginning August 1, all appeals from commonwealth agencies under the governor’s jurisdiction, with few exceptions, will be handled through a new appeals portal. All appeals, including those involving local agencies, such as townships, will ultimately be handled through that portal. A phase-in process for local appeals is expected to begin in October.
