PHMC Approves New State Historical Markers
The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission recently announced the approval of 36 new Pennsylvania Historical Markers. New markers in townships include the Haines Shoe House in Hellam Township, York County; The Highlands in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County; Marshalls Creek Explosion in Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County; Pa. Logging Railroad in Heath Township, Jefferson County; President Pumping Engine in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County; and Sheep Rock Shelter Archeological Site in Penn Township, Huntingdon County.
