PSATS and Township Leaders Speak with DCED Secretary Siger 

PSATS arranged a call with DCED Secretary Rick Siger to discuss economic development investments outlined in the commonwealth’s 2024-2025 budget and the need for municipalities and the state to work together to push the mission forward. Siger highlighted strategic goals of site development, tourism, and main street programs. DCED shared continued progress on the Streamlining Permits for Economic Expansion and Economic Development (SPEED) program aimed at modernizing permit processes and reducing permit backlogs. The secretary also provided updates on SITE development funding and broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities across the state through Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) funding.
