PSATS Files to Protect Damage Cap

Last Friday, PSATS and several other statewide municipal organizations filed an amicus brief in Freilich v. SEPTA, where they argued that the current damages caps are constitutional. A woman injured by a SEPTA bus is claiming that the Sovereign Immunity Act is unconstitutional as applied to her because it infringes on her rights to trial and recovery of damages.
