Reminder: Applications for 2024 AARP Community Challenge Grants Due March 6

The AARP Community Challenge provides grants to fund quick-action projects aimed at helping create livable communities for people of all ages. Townships are eligible to apply for funds across three grant categories and may apply for more than one opportunity:    

• Capacity-Building Microgrants fund projects that enhance neighborhood walkability and bike-ability.    
• Demonstration Grants fund projects that improve digital connections to prepare and respond to disasters and reconnect communities divided by infrastructure.   
• Flagship Grants fund projects that improve public places; transportation; diversity, equity, and inclusion; civic engagement; community health and economic empowerment; community resilience; and digital connections.
