Reminder: Applications for Public Library Grants Being Accepted Until October 14
The state Department of Education is accepting applications for the 2023 Keystone Grants for Public Library Facilities program until October 14. The program provides funds to sponsoring municipalities for up to 50% of eligible project costs to plan, acquire, construct, or rehabilitate public libraries. For a public library to be eligible, it must jointly prepare and submit the application with the sponsoring municipality.
Eligible projects include but are not limited to ADA upgrades, a new roof, replacement windows, energy-efficient upgrades to HVAC systems, new elevators, facility expansion, and new construction. The maximum grant is $750,000.
