Reminder: Grant Applications for Alternative-Fuel Vehicles, Retrofits Due December 20

DEP is accepting applications for the 2024 Alternative Fuels Incentive Grants (AFIG) program until December 20, 2024. Townships and municipal authorities are eligible to apply for funding to transition to cleaner fuel transportation (electric or natural gas). The program has $5 million in grant funding available to support:    

Incremental costs related to retrofitting vehicles to operate on alternative fuels.   
Incremental costs to purchase new alternative-fuel vehicles.  
Costs to purchase and install fleet-refueling or home-refueling equipment for alternative-fuel vehicles.    
Cost to perform research, training, development, and demonstration of new applications or next-phase technology related to alternative-fuel vehicles.
